I included an earlier version of this video in a blog post some months ago, but it’s been updated and the picture is even more grim than it was earlier. The sweep of rising unemployment to a rate higher than 10% across the vast majority of the country is startling to see, but mirrors the graph below that details how deep and extended this period of severe joblessness is and will likely be for years to come.
